Where can I find a bike seat replacement that includes the bar attaching to the bike?
The other day, while I was at work, some punk decided that since he couldn’t steal my entire bike, he stole the seat and bar. No matter where I look, I can’t find a replacement seat that includes the bar connecting to the bike itself. I can still ride it, but not as well. I’ve lost my sense of balance without the seat and it’s driving me nuts! Please help me!
Bad: they are 2 separate items, the seat tube and the saddle.
Good: most bike shops sell inexpensive posts and can find the correct size for your frame. There are several sizes available, so a bike shop is definitely in order. These shops also frequently have a bin of inexpensive saddles that upper end cyclists don’t want. Most of them are excellent and can be had for a fraction of the retail price.
Try attaching the post with a bolt if you had a quick release on the frame where the seat post enters. Most any bike shop will be happy to set that up quickly for you.
