Pull Brakes

Which is better? Alloy pull brakes or Disk Brakes?
I know that disk brakes are more expensive…. but i don’t have any experience with them. I don’t have any good past experiences with pull brakes either. So should i pay the extra money for the disk?
disc brakes do have and advantage over rim brakes in that they do not wear down the wheel, they wear on a rotor and that by itself is the biggest reason for having them and not to mention that they do cost more yes, but for stopping power there is no comparison! There are some good rim brakes, linear pull or V brakes as they are known such as the XT or XTR but why they make them is beyond me? The Disc brake will make some noise when wet but they will not stumble on the wheel and will stop you even wet! The rotors will get some glaze on them with use but will need to be wiped off with brake parts cleaner or most any degreaser to eliminate this and truing a rotor is sometimes necessary but rarely does this need to be done. You cannot go wrong with a disc brake and the cycling industry seems to be headed in the disc brake direction overall anyway so go ahead and make the move over to disc brakes, its worth it!
